14 Oct WIU Thompson Hall Stair Climb
MACOMB, IL — Emmet-Chalmers Firefighters participated in the Western Illinois University Fire Club’s stair climb in Thompson Hall. Emmet-Chalmers Firefighters and other local emergency personnel competed in an eighteen floor relay race, ascending and descending, in full turn-out gear while carrying common firefighting equipment and tools. A few of the firefighters received awards for their performance. This is the second year that Emmet-Chalmers has attended and plan to continue participating in years to come.
