Equipment - Engine 6

The pumper (engine #6) is a 1983 GMC/Alexis. This truck responds to most of our calls. It is our secondary pumper and is needed at all fires. The pumper provides water to the firefighters on the hoselines. The 1000 gallon tank supplies the initial water to attack the fire. Additional water can be supplied from hydrants or drafted from a water source. The 750 GPM front-mount pump, moves the water and provides the water pressure needed to fight the fire. This truck can also pump while being driven, which is handy for fighting grass fires.

This truck also carries a lot of equipment, including: 2 SCBAs, ventilation fan, cribbing, ladders, ABC extinguishers, additional hoses and hose appliances.
