Our brush truck (truck #8) is a 1993 Ford F-350 4x4 with an Alexis slide in tank and pump. With the four wheel drive, we are able to get this truck into places that are too difficult to get the large trucks through. This truck is the first to respond to brush/grass fires.
Once the pump is running, firefighters can stand on the front bumper and attack the fire, while the driver drives along the edge of the fire.
The slide in features a 300 gallon tank and pump. There is a booster reel, 2 preconnects, and 2 discharges mounted on the front bumper. We can also draft using the hard-suction hose.
